Excitement for the Games is building as Finnie, the playful unicorn and official Games mascot, is now available as a beautifully designed plush toy.

On sale today, supporters now have the chance to own a piece of Games magic and bring the hype-master unicorn’s energy to life.

Finnie, who was created with the help of 76 children and young people from 24 schools across Glasgow, is available to buy in two sizes, 15cm and 25cm, with orders made by 16 December arriving in time for Christmas.

Finnie kicked off anticipation for the Games earlier this year when she was spectacularly revealed at the top of the Finnieston Crane, which is also her namesake. Her arrival marked one year to go until 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories gather in Glasgow for the biggest sporting event in the UK next year.

I’ve lost count of how many high-fives I’ve had and the number of super cool athletes I’ve met
Finnie, the Glasgow 2026 mascot

Now, with just 230 days until the Opening Ceremony, Finnie plush toys are available with all the characteristics that make the Games mascot distinctly Glaswegian:

  • Her signature horn, in bright orange and white, inspired by the famous traffic cone on top of the Duke of Wellington statue outside Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern of Art
  • A silver flash in her shoes in tribute to the Clyde’s shipbuilding history
  • An earring from the Glasgow Coat of Arms
  • Her flowing purple and pink mane, inspired by the world-famous Hydro
  • In a nod to the iconic Barrowlands, the plush toys have a star on her nose, with toys 25cm and above proudly sporting sparkling star tattoos on her arms.

Since her arrival, Finnie has been capturing hearts and spreading the magic of the Games, visiting schools and sporting events, as well as taking part in community events across Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.

Finnie, the Glasgow 2026 mascot, said: “I’m having loads of fun sharing the magic of Glasgow 2026. You might have seen me posing for cameras, visiting schools and being part of special events. I’ve tried my hooves at Scottish country dancing, been in a pantomime, played bowls and last week I even took part in a Garba dance on Buchanan Street!

“I’ve also been stomping my hooves all over the country and I’ve lost count of how many high-fives I’ve had and the number of super cool athletes I’ve met. And today – I can-neigh believe I’m saying this - there are plush toys of ME on the Glasgow 2026 online shop. They’re even better than I could’ve imagined and I’m buzzing for everyone to meet them!

“I’m having so much fun and can’t wait to meet everyone at the Commonwealth Games, next summer.”

Finnie mascot plush toys are available at shop.glasgow2026.com in two sizes, 15cm (£12.00) and 25cm (£20.00). Larger sizes (up to 1m) will be available in Spring 2026. The Finnie collection also includes t-shirts, hats and a range of accessories from as little as £4.
